Diane Chelsea, PhD, uses her scientific and communication experience to assist high-tech companies and organizations with product and business development, scientific writing, staff and project management, commercialization of technologies, and protocol development and execution. She has served as an Associate Scientific Director and Scientific/Medical Writer at ProEd Communications, Inc., Director of Cancer Research Laboratories for a non-profit research institute, and a research scientist at Abbott Laboratories, Quark Biotech, and Mayo Clinic. Diane is also the Manager of BioSciEssence, LLC, a scientific communications consultancy. In all of these positions, Diane has gained a strong background in research and development, including managing production and laboratory operations; composing technology assessments for bioscience investors; developing strategy and scientific content for presentations given to FDA Advisory Committees prior to FDA approval of pharmaceuticals, and regarding safety issues for already approved drugs; producing scientific content for manuscripts in various therapeutic areas, including oncology and cardiovascular disease; and providing SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis for competitive intelligence. Diane offers both scientific and business development expertise clients need to grow their businesses.
